Great People, Good Lawyers

ATTORNEY KAGNAR SOM

Attorney Kagnar Som represents those who have been injured physically or psychologically as a result of the negligence of another.   The aftermath of an injury accident is often a terrible burden, and victims may feel pressure by their own insurance company to accept a financial settlement that favors the insurance companies rather than the victim.  The bureaucracy that follows a personal injury accident can be overwhelming to victims and their families.

Kagnar advocates on behalf of victims injured in motor vehicle accidents by providing valuable legal representation when communicating with insurance companies, investigating the claims, and litigating the cases.  Kagnar also assists Jeff Campiche in medical negligence, product liability, and maritime cases.

Kagnar was an advocate for victim’s rights long before she received her law degree from Seattle University’s School of Law.  As an undergraduate at the University of Washington, Kagnar interned with U.S. Senator Patty Murray, working with the Senator’s staff in passage of the Victim’s Rights Bill.  It was during this effort that Kagnar realized the importance of communicating with, and empowering, victims in their quest for justice.   It was a compassion that emerged from personal experience.  Born in Cambodia, Kagnar escaped the terror of the Khmer Rouge, immigrating to the US in 1981.

Prior to law school, Kagnar worked at the Washington State Bar Association, assisting in developing the first Committee for Diversity.

Kagnar is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the Washington State Association for Justice.  She is licensed to practice in Washington.
